As Nazi Flag Fluttered From Westerplatte
Danzig -- The Nazi flag flies over the Westerplatte, Polish fort and munitions dump in Danzig harbor, which was defended heroically for many days by a small Polish garrison, under terrific German bombardment. The Nazis praised the courage of the defenders who finally had to capitulate under the devastating fire, evidence of which can be seen in the picture, which was passed by German censors.
