Saarbrücken
verso labeeld in typeset: A hundred thousand persons brought by eighty special trains from all parts of the Saar Territory attended the gigantic rally of the German Front (Pro-Hitler) Party on the Wackenberg at Saarbrucken shortly before the plebiscite. Snow fell heavily during the meeting, but failed to dampen the ardor of the throng. At the same time, Socialists and Communists were massing for a demonstration of the united fronts on the other side of the River Saar. The above photo shows the scene at the German Front rally as the snow fell.
