Munich
Girls of the voluntary labor camp near Munich march to their work every day with spades carried rifle fashion on their shoulders and wearing gas-masks. With their steel helmets and military marching formation the girls can quite easily be taken for men - and it is to take the place of men in time of war that the girls are being trained. They are accustoming themselves to hard manual labor under conditions likely to accompany an air raid, or the constant threat of an air raid.Credit Line (ACME). 11/28/34Stamp: ACME Newspictures, Inc.; Ref.
