Berlin - The announcement by doctors that President von Hindenburg is near death, in Neudeck, recalls the gala dedication of this gigantic statue to him in July 1916. Solemn and dignified as always, it shows him holding a huge saber. At that time he was Field Marshal of all the Kaiser’s troops.
