Berlin
For the benefit of needy Nazi storm troopers in Berlin, a week was devoted to the collection of funds from citizens. Hundreds of the troopers were stationed in various streets to collect money for their comrades. Many original means were adopted by the collectors. The above photo shows an Alsatian hound stationed at the Alexanderplatz metropolitan station with a money box in his mouth tacitly requesting passersby to contribute their mite.
