Hopes to Recruit Austrian Regiment for French Army
Nice, France--prince Ernst Rudiger von Srathemberg (above), former Vice-Chancellor of Austria and organizer and leader of the Austrian anti-Nazi Heimwehr, Prince Ernst Rudiger von Starhemberg (above), told the United Press that he hoped the French Government would permit him to recruit an Austrian regiment to be incorporated in the French army. It was later reported from Paris that arrangements are being made for the establishment of an Austrian legion to fight under its flag for the liberation and independence of its country.
